ARGENTINA

Our DMC - Rixner International

Let's start with the size of this amazing country. With a mainland area of over one million square miles, Argentina is the eighth largest country in the world and the second largest in South America. The maximum distance from north to south is 2295 miles, which gives Argentina an incredible diversity of climate - sub tropical in the north and sub polar in the south. There can be few if any greater extremes in any one country in the world than the breathtaking Iguazu Falls in the north and the stunning Ushaia at Tierra del Fuego in the south.

Between these extremes sits the delightful cosmopolitan capital city, Buenos Aires with its temperate climate. The development of Buenos Aires has been heavily influenced by Europe, particularly France, Italy and Britain and you could be forgiven for thinking that you are on the streets of Paris or Milan as you wander around this bustling city.

But what distinguishes Buenos Aires from its European counterparts are some of the things that have made this city and the country famous around the world. For meetings and events, Buenos Aires has much to offer. It's a multicultural city with so much to be passionate about - tango, football, polo, beautiful architecture and superlative Argentinean steak and wine - and also its coffee shops, bookstores and shopping malls, where its attractive and traditional neighborhoods stand out: Recoleta, San Telmo, La Boca, Puerto Madero and Palermo.

To get the very best from Argentina, you need to put yourselves in the hands of the experts and that's exactly what we have with Rixner International our DMC partner here. Jointly owned by Esther Faus, an Argentinian national and Franz Rixner, who originates from Germany, the company has that perfect blend of local knowledge and international experience.

Indeed, the Rixner International team are perfectly placed to meet all of your needs. Their background in handling events of all types and sizes puts them at the forefront of DMCs in Argentina and their expertise covers the whole country.

Apart from their knowledge of the outstanding meeting and conference facilities that you would expect in a capital city like Buenos Aires, Rixner International can advise you on the amazing range of locations for your incentive events. Take Mendoza for example. Argentina's 4th largest city is famous for its beautiful vineyards where the world renowned Malbec wine is produced.

How about Iguazu Falls, one of the wonders of the world? Nothing can quite prepare you for the sight and sound of these amazing waterfalls. Rixner international invites you to enjoy The Great Adventure, traveling around the tropical jungle, discovering the fabulous fauna with colourful birds that sing to nature, sailing on turbulent waters until arriving at the true heart of the Leap of the Waterfall. Whether at the top of the falls looking down into the famous “Devil’s Throat” or experiencing the falls from below, three things are guaranteed. You will be astonished by the sight, you will be deafened by the noise of the water and you will definitely get wet! It's an experience not to be missed.

There are far too many experiences in Argentina to cover here, so for more information please visit the Rixner International website:

Winners of the National Tourism Award for best tour operator in 2011/12, Pioneer Personalized Holidays are the pick of the bunch in this huge, exciting, vibrant, colourful, noisy country. Few places in the world assault the senses in the way that India does and we are delighted to be representing one of the best DMCs in India.

Pioneer Travels is long established but still one of the fastest growing comprehensive travel - tour service providers in South India. Based in Cochin in the heart of Kerala, which is rightly known as 'God's Own Country', Pioneer was established as an independent tour operating enterprise in 1992, but the involvement in the field of transportation dates back to the early 1980s.

The highly enterprising Pioneer Travels team is headed by Mr. P.D. Joseph, a veteran of over three decades of standing in the hospitality industry. It is this hospitality background that makes attention to detail and outstanding customer service the trademarks of the Pioneer Travels service. Director, Ranju Joseph is the day to day face of the organisation.

Pioneer has its own fleet of vehicles ranging from small cars to luxury coaches with professional chauffeurs who make sure that their clients are happy without any compromise in safety. What makes Pioneer Travels the one-stop-shop for all travel related arrangements is the state-of-the-art infrastructure in place: a fully networked office with round the clock hotline connectivity.

Pioneer Travels is ably represented by sub-agents in all major tourist centres across South India and with its own office in Delhi, the company is easily able to handle travel arrangements across the whole country. But the company's home base in 'God's Own Country' - Kerala, is the perfect place for any first time visitor to India to start their exploration of this amazing country. Kerala has it all, from some of the best beaches on the Arabian Sea coast to the wonderful network of inland waterways known as the backwaters; from the hill stations and tea plantations to the wildlife and nature reserves.

A little known fact about Kerala is that it is always one of the most searched for travel terms for India on Google, rivalling a certain Taj Mahal! It is a place that the whole world is beginning to discover and there really is no better way than with Pioneer Personalized Holidays.

Pioneer focus on tailor made, highly customised, individual specific tour packages and small group tours, with leisure, culture, pilgrimage, health or adventure as the main themes. Malta

This fabulous destination in the Mediterranean boasts a recorded history dating back over 7000 years.

Malta has been influenced or occupied by numerous different cultures, including the Phoenicians, the Carthaginians, the Romans and the Byzantyines, all of whom left their mark. Subsequent rulers have included the Arabs, the Moors, the Knights of St. John and the French. The British arrived in 1800 and stayed until 1974 when Malta became a Republic.

These many and varied influences have left the Maltese islands with an exciting mix of history and culture. Together with their sheer beauty, the wonderful Mediterranean climate and easy accessibility through good airlinks with the UK and Europe, Malta has become very popular indeed with 21st century 'invaders' for both leisure and business activities.

Romania

Romania is a country to be discovered by leisure travellers who are looking for beautiful unspoilt scenery, magnificent castles, manor houses and fortresses together with vineyards offering some outstanding wines. It is a country for sports enthusiasts (especially rugby), for hikers and climbers, indeed for anyone who enjoys the great outdoors.

It's a country for event organisers who are looking for inspiring new locations. The capital Bucharest has the world's 2nd largest public building after the Pentagon. The parliament building is a magnificent structure and a unique event location in a city that is well served by flights from all over Europe.

You can visit Saxon villages where time has stood still and the truly hospitable Romanian people will welcome you into their homes. One such village is Viscri, where Prince Charles, heir to the British throne has bought and renovated properties. His interest in rural Romania is helping to protect the unique way of life that has existed for hundreds of years through the promotion of sustainable tourism.

The Prince has said that he was particularly moved by the plight of the remarkable fortified Saxon villages in Transylvania which were built centuries ago by German settlers, who were encouraged to go there to help withstand Tartar and Turkish invasions.

No mention of Transylvania would be complete without reference to its most famous resident, Vlad the Impaler, who was the inspiration for the character created by Bram Stoker in his 1897 novel, 'Dracula.' Bran Castle in Brasov County in the Carpathian mountains is better known as Dracula's castle and was a residence of Queen Marie of Romania from 1920 to 1938. It was opened to the public in 1993 and is now visited by more than half a million people every year.

With the Danube Delta, Europe's second largest and best preserved delta within its borders and the Black Sea coast in the south-east corner, Romania is a country of many contrasts. Above all, Romania is a country full of wonderful surprises at every turn. Through our DMC partners here we can design perfect experiences that show the most beautiful parts of the country.

Oman

'Beauty has an address - Oman' is part of the Ministry of Tourism's marketing slogan for Oman and who are we to disagree. It is a country of outstanding natural beauty, with a kaleidoscope of history and adventures.

The country is so rich in history and culture, it's difficult to know where to begin. But the starting point for most will be in the capital Muscat, which is well served by international flights from across the Gulf and throughout the rest of the world. As well as having so much from the past to explore and discover, Muscat is also a very modern city, with a rapidly developing infrastructure that demonstrates how progressive the country is.

Muscat international airport opened a new runway in December 2014 and the new airport terminal building opened in 2018.  The new Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre is set to become an iconic landmark for Muscat and the Sultanate of Oman. It is surrounded by nature and it overlooks a wadi that is a haven for Oman’s exotic bird life. The Centre is only 10 minutes from the new Muscat International Airport.

Located in its own precinct, this world-class facility is perfectly suited to host international conventions, exhibitions and business events. Amongst its features are a tiered auditorium, seating 3,200 people and more than 22,000 square metres of exhibition space.

Both leisure and business travellers alike will want to visit Muscat's famed Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque (seen on the left.) It is one of the largest in the world and can accommodate up to 22,000 devotees at one time. This spectacular building has the world's largest hand woven carpet and also contains the world's largest chandelier.

Oman’s natural landscape varies dramatically from region to region. In some places, vast sandy deserts give way to immense stretches of rugged mountains, while in other areas the geography changes quickly from dry rocky valleys , known as wadis, to lush green plains watered by monsoon rains in the south. Oman also possesses the highest point on the Arabian Peninsula, the spectacular Jebel Shams which is 3300 metres above sea level.

Oman has been one of the Arabian Gulf's best kept secrets until now. We can see that changing very quickly as leisure travellers and event organisers realise that it is a country which has something to appeal to everyone.

Czech Republic

The city of Prague is the mainstay of this fascinating country. The capital of the Czech Republic and its largest city is surely one of Europe's finest. It oozes history and charm, with magnificent architecture and some of the finest mediaeval buildings in the world (as well as the largest collection of cobbled streets!)

Prague has long been a favourite amongst event organisers and it is easy to see why. Of course it has the usual range of international hotels, many of whom have outstanding meeting and conference facilities. But Prague also has some of the most unusual and exciting venues from castles and palaces to deconsecrated churches and even the old water treatment works, where the underground architecture is quite amazing.

Prague is perfectly positioned in central Europe, just one and a half to two hours flying time from most of the major European cities and the airport is only 30 minutes outside the city. It's also just a short hop to Vienna and Budapest and these three capital cities are a very popular combination amongst visitors to central Europe.

Prague has many attractions, including Prague Castle and Old Town Square, but one of its most famous is the U Fleku brewey, which was founded in 1499. Prague has an amazing selection of breweries and prices are very keen. In fact, the Czech Republic as a whole offers great value for money, which adds to its appeal as an incentive destination.
